Here's a good one for all you economists and NWP fans.........

I can buy 2x6 and 4x4 rough cut redwood at Home Depot in Reno and Carson City made by Britt Lumber of Arcata (a PALCO subsidiary) for about $2 less per unit than I can from the local lumber yard less than a mile from where it's cut in Arcata. In quantity it's cheaper to buy it over here and haul it back over there. Sure it's all about market......but it's also all about "the spirit of the North Coast" too.
