New Format

I would like to know what inspired the reason for the new format. It is possible that some newspaper complained about redistributing the articles whole?
One link did not work. Some newspapers require joining as members. Links die. No archive. It is difficult to tell what the article is really about in some cases from headlines, or where the article takes place from link names. When I saw the headline "$290 AN HOUR? FOR A HALF-TIME JOB?" my first thought is that a spammer hacked into the server. One format that might work for clarity, though I'd understand if it was too much work, is to list the headline, newspaper name, link, and first sentance of article.
We really need to hear from Mr. LWG himself before we understand what motivated this change.
