Since the railroads have been mandated to switch over to narrow band / digital radios with significantly closer channel spacings, and the deadline is fast approaching; it seems to me that most existing radios will become obsolete soon. or at least will become much less useful.

Anybody know what the radio scanner manufacturers are planning to do, in order to adapt to all this. I have held off purchasing any new equipment until I find out.
