Re: Scanner Recommendations?

Unfortunately, I cannot recomend a scanner that is currently available. I used to have a Regency HX1000 years ago until I accidently damaged the antenna connection internally in the radio by taking the BNC (quick disconnect) antenna off too many times. I turned it over to a radio tech to have it fixed who I thought was my friend and he took off with it and I have not seen him or the scanner ever again. That was the best handheld scanner I ever had. It had 30 channels and was extremely sensitive. The other one I had was also very old was a Bearcat 210XL base/mobile. But the buttons on it started to stick and was told it wasn't repairable. It, like the Regency HX1000 was extemely sensitive. I have a work issued transceiver that I use for receiving communications, so I have not had to look for a scanner in years anyway. I wish I could be of more help.
