Afraid it won't work reversing the sides, here's why!

As you can see, they overlap in the center, but the old one is uphill and the newer one is out to sea! I suppose I should also mention that I cheated on the older image, it's actually black and white, I colorized it in Photoshop.

The two rear cars on the GN passenger are a bit of a puzzle, the names are unreadable on the full size scan.
