Nice photos. I mostly remember the SDP45s in commute service. I've even saw two of them running elephant style for the last run of the 12:45pm San Francisco departure of the "Holiday Special" on Dec. 24, 1976. They used to have a extra train on Christmas Eve day to fill in the gaps between the 11:00am and 1:50pm departures for all those getting off early. It had GP40P-2s 3197 and 3199 back to back with 10 galleries in 1975 and 2 SPD45s and 10 galleries in 1976. They didn't run it after that.
