Marty, I remember the old man that was the local hobby shop owner in the late 50's getting into an argument with his hired help as to what the front end of a diesel was called and he insisted that the proper term was still a cow catcher even though it was nothing more that a flat plate on the diesel compared to the front end of a steam loco.
