I, too, loved Kodachrome -- the colors, the grain,
AND its incredible archival qualities. I don't think
it has existed long enough to fade, if sorta properly
taken care of. My parents have slides Daddy took
in 1940 and after that, and even the oldest ones look as
though they were taken yesterday! Amazing.

I love analog slides -- to view them, all you need is
a light source and a way to magnify the image.
Low tech!

I think I heard Kodachrome used to have a design
life of 105 years. Is that true? (If true, we won't know
until after 2140, will we?)
