5247 - Negatives and Slides

For a long time, I was shooting 5247 because it was free. In general, the 30+ year old slides are useless. Colors have shifted, and images have faded away. The negatives (which are the actual film - the slides were created in a lab) have much better lasting power and can be scanned up, but they are grainier than one would like and because they are tails of movie film, they don't have the sharpness of Kodachrome (it wasn't needed in motion frames).

Also, some of my negatives have color shifted - all from a single processor - so I would say that this was a poor processor issue.
