ATSF 3751

In reading the recent notice on the San Bernadino Railroad Historical Society website, I see that the Sou. Calif trip to Train Festival-2011 in Rock Island, Ill was suspended due to projected traffic congestion on BNSF's "transcon route" ... Too bad.

But, I have two questions--

a. Is there any other way they could het the 3751 to Rock Island ??

b. Does anyone know the "approximate fuel cost", say per 100-miles of operation, when the 3751 is operated on these types of excursions ?? (I would really like to know, for a reason..)
