Being a diabetic, I am beginning to find this whole story and thread offensive as he!!! The fact is that any diabetic, even undiagnosed ones, can have "bad reactions" leading to all sorts or "weard" behaviors and coma. I suffered for years before diagnosis.
Commonly, over-reactions to medication, sudden jolts of sugar, or even hard exercise, includes crashing blood sugar, extreme weakness, the shakes, vertigo, severe sweating, mental disorientation, often followed by excessive adrenaline production (flight or fight) or coma. All this is accompanied by a lot of generalized pain and dis-comfort. After the crisis is over you are left disfunctional for hours.
That flight or fight is a common response to sudden adrenaline production says anything is possible - and even if uncommon, still has happened somewhere.
What is annoying, is people downplaying the possibilities - as if they really knew.
What is offensive are those blowhards embelishing the story even after the media already blew it all out of proportion.
Of course as usual, the media sensationalized the story by leaving out strategically important details - same as they do when reporting on politics. Think twice before you believe anything in the media - any media - even here.
Thanx for the rant - Now with that off my chest I can cool down for some levity:
