Well, I'm confident the Engineer and Conductor have already received Certifed mail indicating the convening of a formal investigation as to why they did not take the safe course, why were they in power and not coasting to save fuel, and why did they have the power facing that way.
If they had planned thier work better, they would have had the power facing the other way so that the power assembly would have launched into the nearby woods, as opposed to some poor bastard's house.
And, like UP's potatoe flake condundrums in the hump yard, they will undoubtedly blame the shipper for allowing cars to be entrained that would put such a load on the prime mover which caused this.
And, like BNSF's coal dust irritaion in the ballast in the PRB, they will undoubtedly place a moratorium on any future carloads that might cause the consist to build more that 300 amps under load, so as to alleviate any potential strain on the units.
