Good comments. Reno joined Elko in becoming one of those American places that looks like every place else. What made Elko so interesting, the railroad so bound up in the town's infastructure, is gone. The same can now be said of Reno. The homeless can now lounge in peace on a few patches of lawn next to newly closed businesses. The sense of place is gone.
