Over beers last week with locals the concensus is build the trail. The ROW is a hotel and pathway for the homeless as it is. Agree or disagree, if the track goes it won't be back. I'm sure NCRA understands that. The ARcata & Mad River trail bogged down pretty quick after the idea surfaced due to property owners objections to hikers in their back yards, although the plan is still active. The rotting railroad just adds to the run down Appalachian look that Humboldt County has taken on.........might as well do something with it.
