Longhaul Deadheading

Years ago, UP would pack up all the extra locomotives that travelled west, and assemble a train of locomotives to deadhead back to points east. I think the last I had heard of it happening was the late 1990's- before the SP got taken over and the meltdown, shortage of crews, unreliable power, etc.........

The train would depart once per week from somewhere in the Bay(ish) Area, and make it's way back to the Midwest (Omaha-I think). I only caught this train once, and it was 28 locomotives long with the first three online. It made a spectacular sight- all power, no revenue.

Is there such a train like this running again on the UP? Is there still more tonnage heading west on UP?

Thanks.
