UP stopped running those light engine moves to North Platte from the Bay Area and Stockton in the early 90s.. 20-25 units each on Sunday night.

The SP power bureau would go over every terminal hunting up locomotives for Roseville because they would be holding 12 east, 4 north, 2 south, 1 NWP and 1 Cal-P for power on Friday night.
Those SDPs came in handy, but by the late 70s were already hauling freight with the Amtrak GE s running the commutes.
