Nice CWR out there. I remember hitching a ride from Stockton back to my Sacramento base one hot Friday afternoon in about '82. Riding in the caboose, we did a funny little "wobble" between Thortnon and Phillips. The conductor looked at me and we both went to the back door. He asked my opinion (since I was in the Engineering Dept.) if what we saw needed to be called in. It wasn't too much of a kink (yet) but at about 2 inches, it was visable--and it was called in.
