Homer Bedloe's real name was Charles Lane. He played the role of a scheming railroad executive who was always tyring to scrap the "Hooterville Cannonball" in the classic TV series Petticoat Junction. He was a veteran character actor whose face, but rarely his name, was instantly recognized by generations of movie and TV audiences with over 90 films to his credit and dozens of TV roles.
