Re-reading my last post, it sounded arguemenative, even though I was trying not to be.

So - in short --

I agree 100%, P42s are blah and MP36s are not as nice as an F40.

My main point is that building a retro locomotive won't bring the public to ride the trains (even if they tell you that they like the retro engine). And because of that, no one is going to request a retro design.

The exception to this rule are business trains and cruise trains.
