John, I graduated in '58 and assure you that the Daily Cal and the Pelican were always full of typos, regardless of who was the night editor or etc. :-) Tony Johnson (above) said the same thing---when you read your own stuff you see what you intended and don't see your mistakes. I type about 60+ wpm and the computer tries to fill in words it thinks you are going to use and if I don't pay attention, which I frequently don't, it will substitute a word I didn't mean.
Ah, technology! Ain't it wonderful??
