Why does this bother you? Is it going to cost you money, negatively affect your life in some way? Let's face it the railroad is never coming back, I would love it if it was possible. I'd love to railfan the area. What else should be done with the right of way? The trail is a pipe dream too it will be washed out more than the railroad. I for one would love to hike through the island mountain tunnel and across the Eel river bridges.
