Looking at your second picture showing the MRL SD45 picked up at Garrison, it appears that the last two digits of this unit (seen thru the window of the 4th BN unit) is "24". This would be MRL 8924.

8924 is now NIWX 8924, alive and well in 2011 and running on the EWG railroad in eastern Washington. 8924 is a very good unit.
