Current general (non-railroad) news item about the Chesapeake & Ohio's Greenbrier Resort.
May be found on the West Virginia map in the Rand McNally Road Atlas. Note the use of green ink for the community on US 292. Not Rand McNally practice.

The 1992 Fourth Estate outing of "Project Greek Island" is recommended.

From my thin memory, the railfan community knew about this alternative to Washington DC a lot earlier than 1992.
