Where's The Common Sense?

If there's one light rail extension project in LA that would make sense, it would be to extend the east end of the Green Line to the Norwalk Metrolink station.

<> It's not even being discussed.

<> It's not even on the table.

So typical of Metro and the politicians who run it.

Distance-wise, it's not all that far. The reason it hasn't been done is because it would involve an all new ROW and the associated land acquistion issues. As it is now, the Green Line ends on the east end because that's where the 105 Freeway also happens to end. We don't build light rail lines where they make sense. We build them where they're easy to build and where there will be a minimum amount of NIMBY opposition. Building them in the centers of freeways addresses this issue quite nicely.

Such nonsense.
