This has got to be somebody's idea of a joke? Wendel to Eureka? Carlotta to Red Bluff would be silly enough, although that was contemplated about a century ago. The Wendel-Susanville track was just removed in December. The McCloud as a link is history. The Mad River drainage and the Trinity River drainage lead nowhere without huge tunnels. Same with the northern Sierra. This is just all too silly. What intrigues me more is the idea that somebody would draw a line between these two places and think geography wouldn't matter. This really has to be a joke. But these days you never know.
