Olequa is a bit south of Vader right north of the bridge over the Cowlitz River. Years ago there was a junction here that connected the NP to the Longview Portland & Northern. Passenger trains would serve Longview directly through this connection until the LP&N was heavily damaged by flooding in the 1930's. Although the rails were restored, the passenger trains were not. Olequa is nothing more than a fading memory along the double track Seattle Sub these days.
