Amtrak's YL250 Job with a rare kind of genset

Amtrak's yard jobs have always been elusive to me to shoot. Funny thing, is if I'm riding Amtrak and not really in photo taking mode, I see Amtrak switchers everywhere doing stuff in great light. But if I go out there looking for an Amtrak switcher - well - it will usually take me about ten or fifteen drive buys before I find them working.

Here is Amtrak's one-of-a-kind MP21B #591 switching at CP Olympic. This thing ROARS as it works. Sounds more like an industrial canister vacuum or a Zamboni than a locomotive.

Here's a close up of the very utilitarian looking locomotive.

Thanks for looking and corrections are welcomed.
