For those who are not familiar with Ed Von Nordeck, in regards Amtrak, he is one of three of the most knowledgeable on the internet (IMHO), the others being Gene Poon and Chris Guenzler.

Full disclosure: I have known Ed for many years, and he has not asked me to state what I have posted here.
