If you ever rode #28 sleeper that comes out of Portland one might say it is better
to take the Togo train to Seattle and pick up #8 out of there. The dinner is run out of
Seattle and just a lounge car out of Portland and you only get a box lunch (cold)on #28.
Reason if you ever rode in a caboose you are all over the track being the last car and on #28 you need a pillow on both sides of you to prevent one from banging against the walls. The worst case I have had was taking VIA to Churchill and you need two pillows to keep from hitting the walls.
