There is also a little too much hype on these. Each traction motor has its own IGBT, which allows it to have much better adhesion (wheel slip control). Unfortunately part of the marketing has been how much these will pull - but it still takes horsepower to pull a train or cut of cars at speed. Unless your name is Hawking or Einstien, you won't have too much luck trying to rewrite physics (though there have been those in train service who tried with "interesting" results.)
To add insult to injury - the advertised 2100 horsepower is misleading, because this is the gross horsepower. The traction horsepower is actually about 1950 hp - less than a GP38-2. Just like the AC drive revolution - you still have to assign enough useable horsepower to move a train at the desired speed regardless of how good the adhesion system is.
