The Salt Pond narrow gauge is still in use although it isn't quite as conventional as the other narrow gauge operations. The NPC and SPC are relatively well known with lots of photos available. The California and Nevada is also little known even among people who live in El Cerrito, San Pablo, El Sobrante and Orinda. This ambitious little RR seems to have evaded cameras. I think I've only ever seen one photo taken in Orinda and poor quality even for 1910ish. I have always been curious about this railroad. I believe much of the ROW is submerged under San Pablo Reservoir and the rest has been developed over the last 100 years.
