History lesson: I don't think the 4449 has run with an all Amtrak consist since 1977, and there was at least one non-Amtrak car on the train.

All of the trips before this last one that went thru Vader used privately owned cars, a train set owned by the BNSF, and one by the UP.

As for the all Daylight train sans diesel: If you want it, step up and pay for it. There's nothing to negotiate. Show up with the train all certified, with the trip ok'ed, and we will gladly discuss what it would cost YOU to rent the 4449 to pull YOUR train. The cheapest part of your vision is the renting of the 4449, so don't worry about those costs.

It's easy, if you want it, then pay for it. Don't rely on someone else to make your vision become reality, step up to the plate.
