For about a week now - what appears to be an open-ended observation car with a Great Northern Railway "Goat" drumhead on the end platform has been sitting on the private car tracks at Whitefish, Montana.
I posted a request for info on the yahoogroups GNGoat list - no one has responded, even the "locals" don't seem to know much about the car.
Maybe some of the private car folks that peruse this list might know something about this car?
As I mentioned - it is a open-ended observation car, painted in standard Pullman Green - this is quite unusual as most people paint their cars in Omaha Orange & Green GN colors. So...this car looks like a heavyweight car that has been "streamlined" painted solid Pullman Green & lettered gold "Great Northern"
Does anyone have any info on this car?
Talk to ya later,
Dale Jones
