I won't speak for Joe, but in general books, especially heavy color, are
getting expensive to do, the audience seems to be thinning, and you have to
be very selective on topics. The new SP Historical stuff on the narrow gauge
and early fifties steam are excellent but they set you back 60 to 70 bucks
a pop. There's still something very appealing about the heft of a good book
and I hope at least some of the pubs survive. Like Mike said, patronize and
buy!
