The company I work for deals with several mills in Oregon on a regular basis, and the word we are hearing from them is that most of the low grade lumber is going to China for concrete forms. They are even buying low quality bug killed trees out of Canada for lumber. The export market has helped some mills avoid shutdowns due to the poor domestic demand.
