I was curious about your comment, so I did a search and found this on another site:
"Regarding "Books" --- Warren started the manuscript on the "Pacific Coast Railway" (in the Seattle area) around five years ago. But after losing his beloved wife Pat and leaving his Seattle home (and Darkroom) after some 55+ years, he lost all interest in the project.
"Pat" used to type his manuscripts for him. He also had a long working relationship with the book dept of "Pacific Fast Mail" in Seattle."
I assume that he is fairly elderly. I have the first two volumes of his Northwest Railroad Pictorials. They are okay, but all black-and-white. My personal favorite northwest related pictorial is the Morning Sun "Great Northern in Color" vol. 1 by Hickcox. I think this one definitely competes for Morning Sun's best all around book (and I have a lot of them), although a few of the captions can be a bit sloppy at times. The color and layout of it is exceptional if one happens to like the Great Northern.
