SP 2472 on Niles Canyon Rwy, Sept 3 & 5!

S.P. 2472 will operate special trains Labor Day weekend on Niles Canyon Railway. SP 2472 trains depart Sunol on Saturday & Monday at 10:00am, 12:01pm, and 2:00pm. Trips include a photo runby if time permits. Enjoy the sights and sounds of big steam working upgrade through unspoiled coastal California scenery!

Train will include pre-WW1 "Harriman" coaches, open-air car(s), S.P. 2979 "Art Deco" lounge (1st-class parlor car), and S.P. 141 "Oakland" business car (executive-class service). Excellent views for everyone as the train wraps around the many sharp curves in Niles Canyon.

Wheelchair lift service is available at Sunol depot for wheelchairs, also anyone whose knees would be happier not going down the vestibule stairs.

P.S.: On Sunday Sept 4, SP 2472 will be under steam on static display while NCRy operates the regularly-scheduled every-Sunday-during-the-spring-&-summer trains.
