Newsline Suggestion

It would be nice if the Newsline links to sites which require registration (meaning additional spam from that site, and others to whom it sells/gives your email address) were flagged in some manner. That way we would know before clicking and waiting that we would not learn anything unless we were already registered with, for example, the Los Angeles Times, or were willing to register and thus open our mailbox to more spam. Such a signal would also allow us to skip clicking if, as a matter of personal policy, we don't register with such sites.

I've encountered this situation several times in recent weeks on the Newsline links; tonight I was wondering what the suicide of a Chinese toy company executive had to do with railroads, but the link provided led to the Los Angeles Times, which requires registration to proceed. I'm still wondering what the rail connection is.

Best regards to all, Chuck Lee.
