You should never expect a tourist RR to do preservation. For me for all of the times I continually hear complaining about the machine's non C. B. & Q. looks I sometimes wish 4960 was now razor blades so people could lament the loss with some real justification. Remember it sat for years with a mechanics lean and little was done to preserve it. At least it runs and if every C.B. & Q. wanted they could have saved it years ago.
