TrainNews vs TrainOrders vs Altamont

I think TrainNews has the potential to successfully compete against TrainOrders, especially if it stays free and continues to offer comprehensive weekday railroad news. But the first block of users for TrainNews are us Altamont Press Discussion Board users. And we will not switch until the Altamont Forum closes, which we have been told for over a year will happen, but doesn't. TrainNews will struggle until then. Then it will gain momentum quickly and before long have a national scope.

TrainNews has newer, thus more flexible, forum software than Altamont's. It will allow broader types of user interaction and information exchange. I've tried it and it's so much better than Altimont's.

So I'm waiting. I'll bet Espee99 is too.
