Quint St is/was Santa Fe trackage. Expansion of the City's sewage treatment plant in the mid to late 1970s caused the track to be relocated to its present position, through Circosta Metals, and the move of Kaiser Sand and Gravel to outer 3rd St, across from Mission Bay Yard and adjacent to the Santa Fe's yard.

The WP didn't serve Pier 96 after about 1960 or so when the drawbridge on 3rd St was rebuilt. Both the Pier and the grain terminal on the bay side of 3rd St are SF Belt trackage.
