I tried the video over on Trainnews. Everything functioned as advertised first time out. The more I watched the clip,the more I began to recall that I have seen something like that before. I have a copy of the Video Rails tape titled:" Southern Pacific 4274 Last Run Of A Cab Forward Over Donner Pass". An Albert C. Felps Film,(VHS VRO39) from which this clip was taken. This video tape is of a railfan trip the weekend of November 30 and December 1, 1957 from Sacramento to Reno and a return the next day. I don't know if copies are still available of the original VHS tape or if it is now available on DVD, but if you are into steam,into cab forwards,into steam over Donner and back, I highly recommend it. I have just about worn out my copy. To say it is one of my favorites is an understatement. Umm mmm good!
