For anybody who really appreciates the Southern Pacific AC type, there should be a hardcover all color book released soon that has coverage of this event and a lot of other Cab-Forward images as well. Locations include Donner, the Modoc, Crescent Lake in Oregon, Dunsmuir, Martinez, West Oakland, Niles Canyon, Tracy, Tehachapi and Santa Barbara. I don't have an exact date, but Karen's Books is giving a date of November. I know it is at the printer now. Photography by John C. Hungerford and Hal Stewart.
