WINDMILL TRAIN

I was at Colfax for Rail Road Days today. At about 1545 a westbound train loaded primarily with Spectra (?) windmills came through. Spectacular! The blades take two old piggyback cars to move, the generator ass'y s are carried on a special flat car with eight (4 x 2) trucks.

Colfax RR Days was a good event for us at TRAC. Plan on a visit tomorrow or next year, you won't be disappointed.
