Ex McCloud River 2-8-2 number 18 is arriving at Virginia City from Carson City while V&T 2-8-0 29 waits to depart with the Gold Hill train. Number 29 was just returned to service after extensive running gear rebuilding and repair. The locomotives swapped jobs for the afternoon return to Carson City with 29 handling the long run.
