I remember as a 10 year old in 1974 watching the 3 minute fleet come through Millbrae. You could see the light from the SDP45 mars lights in the horizon before the train came over that hump north of Millbrae. That hooked me. I barely remember the Trainmasters as a young child, but "grew up" with SP Commutes in the SPD45/GP40P-2 era.
Too bad you won't do that book.........
