Re: MRL's Bitterroot branch out of service

In the past, MRL has been willing to bend over backwards to keep lines going, with Stone Container and a couple other customers shutting down over the past couple of years, they must be struggling more than I thought. I've noticed quite a lot of MRL equipment getting cut up in scrap yards in Portland--boxcars and locomotives--so they must not expect things to be improving any time soon. I know the EPA plans to keep the timber supply pretty well closed down, and the new mine along MRL is still jumping through permitting hoops, other things must not be looking too good as well. Anyone know how badly damaged the branch is??
And where??
