Just spoke with the owner. A museum made an offer that was too low. (under 10k)
1. It first belonged to a Civil War general who was an officer on the railroad and this car was his business car. He doesnt know what railroad but it was operating in the immediate area of the cars location in Hudson.
2. Its all wood. No steel center sill. No sagging or rotting. It was never abandonded.
3. The current owner is only the 3rd owner after the 90+ year old former Dayton's department store heir past away..
