Stampede Pass M of W work...

Thursday Oct. 27th, overheard BNSF M of W high - railers at work between Kanasket & Lester, WA. Several weeks ago I also spotted a rail train in the siding @ East Auburn. Understand new ties were installed also. Given the almost total of train traffic on this line lately, I'm wondering why BNSF is giving the line any attention. Any ideas ???
