Dude!

You were the one in this thread who first used the word "Re-distribution" - Just what the hell do you think that means, other than TAKING it from one private party and giving it to another. That Sir, whether you like it or not, has always been the hallmark of Socialist rhetoric. Taking what isn't rightfully yours is also commonly called theft!

If you didn't mean that, you shouldn't have used that word. But then again, Your President used that same word several times in 2008, and several other examples of Marxist rhetoric as well, but of course he is no Marxist - right. He just misspoke - like you! - right?

But basically, if it quacks like duck, waddles like a duck, has web feet like a duck, wants to confiscate private property like a socialist duck - then it most likely is a DAMN DUCK! If you don't want us to think it a duck, it damn well better stop QUACKING!

And indeed, almost any common thief has more honor, than the likes of those that would use the power of government to do their stealing for them; because at least the thief doesn't pretend to be anything other than the common thief that they are.

But you sir, not only demand that wealth be taken from those that earned it (created it actually) and that it then be given to someone else in the form of some gov't service or other (in your words - "re-distributing it); but you also seem to demand that this act somehow be considered righteous! IT AIN'T

Granted, that wealth truly and justly belongs to those that created it (that usually leaves out gov't). But who had what hand in creating it in the first place, is often difficult to measure. And granted, there desperately needs to be a better balance of power, as my old union leaders kept preaching, between the labor and capital components of wealth creation. I fully agree with that.

But more to the point, who the hell appointed you or your MOB to decide just what was earned by whom, and to just take, without any due process of law whatever (taxes), where you just "think" (envy actually) it wasn't honestly earned. Where is the justice in that. At least prove it wasn't earned, before taking it!

I do hear your complaint, that the capital side seems to be over-dominant. I tend to agree. But the answer is not socialism, nor anything like unto it, nor is mob rule. But I ask you again, How would you be better off, jumping from the frying pan of corporate greed; into the fire of government greed. What possible difference could there be? Both would suck equally!

Remember, wealth is almost always created by a mixture of capital and labor. So both the laborer and the capitalist are entitled to share in that wealth. But in almost all cases, government had no direct hand in it, except maybe as a facilitator (ie. physical and legal infrastructure). That wealth does not therefore justly belong to the government; it belonging to those that actually created it. Gov't is not entitled to any of it, except for that small fraction needed to provide that facilitation (certainly no more than 6% of it).

Right now, The labor market is mostly a buyers market; with the FED Chairman long manipulating the economy to keep it that way (most of my lifetime). This is the most important cause of the current imbalance. Not some vast corporate conspiracy. It IS a gov't agency doing that!

Bearing this out dramatically, is the plain fact that there are still shortages of certain labor skill sets, where the picture is very different. It is a seller's market there. Those employees blessed with those skills are writing there own rules, still commanding huge salary and benefit packages; and are enjoying frequent unsolicited job offers besides. But Bernacki and his GOV'T thugs have managed to screw everybody else.

Naturally, to keep one's employees under such circumstances, you better treat 'em right; maybe even a big signing bonus will be needed now and then. That is the state many of my employees are in. So don't cry for my employees - they are doing well!

Indeed, they are the ones telling me that "Class envy" is an ugly thing!

Indeed - IT IS !
